With a new year upon us, we thought we would update you with our new committee, our nominees for charity of the year and some of the exciting plans we have for the year ahead.,

We are busy planning our first event of the year, our launch event! Taking place at Banyan on 1 February, the event will be a great opportunity to meet other junior lawyers from across the region and celebrate all we have planned for 2023. Tickets sold out in two days, but if you’d like to be added to our waiting list please get in touch.
We are also excited to announce our charity of the year. After raising over £2,500 for Leeds Refugee Forum last year, voting is now open for our 2023 charity. The voting link has been sent out to our members and voting closes on 1 February at 12noon, make sure you have your say!
Our shortlisted charities are:
Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (Charity no.: 1148359), which supports the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit by providing funding and resources to care for patient’s and their families.
Andy’s Man Club (Charity no.: 1179647), a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free to attend peer-to-peer support groups, wanting to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. #ITSOKAYTOTALK
Lighthouse Futures Trust (Charity no.: 1145829), an innovative and progressive organisation with a mission of changing the lives of young adults by running programmes to develop vital social and employability skills.
We will announce the winner at our launch event!
